Fridge clean pulsu

Yo ppls!!

Yepp.. i've gotten over my two blog syndrome.. nope KT, i'm not Gajjini...I dont have a two blog memory span...

So i have got 1.5 vidanya done :) Vidanya 1: Get married (Half way there with this ring on my finger) Vidanya 2: I got into ISB........ So lets say i'm getting there... With some luck the others will also get ticked off .....

So here is a totally irrelevant blog.. nothing to do with any of the two vidanyas.. but then i need to do justice to the title of my blog, dont i?

So here goes... blaag no. 3 of my come back blaags:

Ok... we will now embark upon a voyage into a home....
Thoda aur zoom in... the kitchen.... and in some time.. we will zoom in a little further...

What started it all:

Madame: Did u get the vegetables?
Monsieur : Oh!! no... (Silence out of plain complete fear.....then long strain of excuses... which dont make any impression on the fair lady)
Madame: Now even the shops will be closed! (Ofcourse the husband was on the defensive on another front as well:he was late)
Monsieur : I'm sure there must be something in the house... (Hopeful as hell....Cos else he'd have an angry and hungry wife.. the first he was used to handling. He was ablsolutely mollified, stupefied, horrified, terrified by the second)

After a long hard.... look, the lady sets out on "mission fridge clean"

Open fridge.
Ferret out 2 boiled potatos, 1 carrot, 1 capsicum.

So... with all the ultra pleasant plans of a 69 ways to kill her husband (which included death by marketing) she chops the veggies up and puts 'em into the kadai. then she chooses.. no wait.. she grabs the masalas.... after 12 mins she decides enuf is enuf...out comes the bhaji! if they aren't done yet... they dont know how to meet deadlines!

Dinner is served.... Both of them are all set to eat whatever the outcome of her rage. And she is just waiting for hubby dear to say its a little spicy or something else to the effect of a suicide note... so she would get an opportunity to grind him to small bits and make an interesting dish that she'd really relish eating...

But.... nopes! that is not to be.. the husband lives to see another day.. cos the bhaji is absolutely amazing! in fact, it even wins the bhaji of the week award! He asks her with all sincerity "What did u put into it? Its GREAT!"

And she thinks about it.... other than the veggies which were visible to the naked eye(and miraculously even to the husband)....she just didnt know! it was so damn good but unrepeatable! Unless ofcourse the husband comes home late... and.....

Crystal Ball

There are some of these times in life wen u'd give just anything to go into a certain point in the future...
Bas... lemme just see the results of my boards... nuthing else...
Bas... lemme just see if i'll get a 60% in my engg aggregate.. nuthin else..
Bas... lemme just see if i'll get through the first job interview on campus...
Bas... lemme just see if i'll get 700+ on my GMAT...
Bas... lemme just see if i'll get a call from ISB...
Bas..........................

And every time u feel there has never been something this important in ur life.. never ever have u to wanted that time machine so badly... and are somehow convinced that there wont be another event in ur life which will ever be so defining.... and so... if amitabh bacchan came to u and said.. tumhaari aakhri lifeline (bhavishyavani) baaki hain... would u take it now????

This blog took shape cos i found a poem i'd written many yrs ago... So here goes...

Crystal Ball

The sun was shining high up in the sky,
Nature was mirth herself today,
When lo behold! The storm came by,
Such grief beyond the skies I say!
If only I knew, if only I knew,
I would've carried an umbrella too!

Tossing and turning in the night was he,
He'd waited so long for this day,
How wonderful she'd look, his bride to be,
Would she change her mind, would he be wed?
If only he knew, if only he knew,
Till death he'd wear the sweaters she'd sew!

Into the night he'd walked away,
Hailing from a family of sailors as he did,
Like his father, would he too betray,
Would she be cursed to put upon him the lid?
If only she knew, If only she knew,
Forty more years the same she'd view.

A vision before us to show us the way,
Wish there was some magic to throw some light,
Upon the mysteries that haunt us today,
That, before the light flickers our wrongs be right.
If only we knew, if only we knew,
To the meaning of life we'd bid Adieu!

Adieu to you :)

Dasvidanya!

Watched Vinay Pathak in Dasvidanya the other day.... Lovedddddddd the movie! Really... and what i loved most about the movie was the choice of the 'ten things to do' before i die.... it was practical, achievable and extremely insightful in terms of what any ordinary person wants to do in normal life....
So.. obviously.. this blog is about my 10 things to do in life before i die.... this is not meant to be deep or insightful or any such thing(i know.... who's expecting that considering the author!) ... just a direct dil se take on this topic at this point of time in my life.. thats it!
Ok... here goes... 10 Things to do Before I Die.....

1. Get married
2. Get an MBA from ISB
3. Lose weight, no... lose inches...
4. Listen to a live in chamber special for me concert by hariharan, kk, shreya goshal, kailash kher, silk route, euphoria......
5. Give huge meaningful surprises to people i care about the most.
6. Visit as many restaurants in Mumbai as possible.
7. Watch as many movies as possible.
8. Go to the discs with my friends and dance away to glory on good old bollywood songs.
9. Go on two long trips: one with my whole entire big family and one with my friends and enjoy every site, every moment, every song, every emotion, every tease, everything...
10. Call up everyone i have lost touch with.... and talk to them for an hour... and let them know that i was just waiting for them to call :)
11. Act in one play, practise and give one music performance
C'mon.. this is my blog.. i can make the 10 things into 11.. just cos i started with the movie as the background of the blog doesnt mean i have to stick to the director's script! This is my blog... so my rules.. ok not even mine.. i said 10 things and then listed one extra... but thats not the point! well.. there is no point to this journalistic voyage! is there?
Note: Comments invited titled "Ten things to Do Before I Die" ;)
